Community Service

Throughout our seasons of competing, our VEX Robotics Team has been, and continues to be, involved in community service.

This year we have participated in the Royal Family Kids Robotics service project. We participated in this on July 30th. Some of our members spent the day helping kids build robots from VEX IQ parts.

Shown above, students help with Royal Family Kids Robotics over the summer.

Shown above, our some of our teams spent their time helping children get involved with STEM activities. (Most times using VEX IQ kits.)

STEM Program at  the Community Library

Students from NUHS Robotics Club have started a after-school activity at the community library to get a new generation interested in STEM career paths and activities.

The goal of the students is to educate both the children and the library employees enough that one day they can take on the activity by themselves.

Field Trips

NUHS has multiple engineering courses available to students. Every year through these classes students take STEM-related field trips.

Earlier this fall, all of the engineering courses went to the Ohio Honda Manufacturing Plant. They toured the facility, got to ask any questions, and were able to view information for different colleges.
